Cleveland ARC April Free Fest!

   In an on-going celebration of serving the Amateur Radio Community for 60 years in Cleveland, Tennessee and surrounding areas, the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club will be hosting the CARC April Free Fest!

 

   This event will be held April 30th at the CARC club house located at 560 Johnson Blvd. In Cleveland, TN. It will start at 8am and will include: An Open House, Free Tailgating, VE Testing, Prize Drawing and much more. Please see the attached flyer for complete details.

New Amateur Radio License Fee Becomes Effective April 19th, 2022

According to a Public Notice issued by the Federal Communications Commission on March 23rd, 2022, new application fees for the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau will become effective on April 19th, 2022. The new fees, mandated by Congress, apply to applications for Amateur Radio Licenses, GMRS, and others.

Effective April 19th, 2022, a $35 fee will apply to applications for a new Amateur Radio license, modifications (upgrades and sequential callsign changes), renewal, and vanity callsigns.

There will be no fee for administrative updates, such as a change of mailing or E-Mail address.

On-Going Celebration – March Mountain Madness!


  In an on-going celebration of serving the Amateur Radio Community for 60 years in Cleveland, Tennessee and surrounding areas, the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club will be celebrating with our amateur radio brothers of the McMinn County Amateur Radio Club, by jointly participating in their Mountain Topping exercise. Better known for the month of March as March Madness.

  For the month of March, we will be operating in this event each weekend. We will be going to Oswald Dome, activating the club house, activating from different locations, etc… With our typical March weather, most of our plans will be last minute so keep up with the CARC Facebook page for up-to-date information.
