Field Day – 2019

It’s hard to believe it’s the first of March already. And in Ham Radio lingo, it means it’s time for me to start laying out our plans for 2019 Field Day.We will once again be activating the Clubhouse for this event.

As of today, we are undetermined in the number of stations we will activate. Volunteers are needed to help with the following:Rig Captains, General Infrastructure (Networking, Logging Software, Etc…), Food & Refreshments, Media Publicity, Social Media Publicity, Natural Power QSO, Elected & Agency Official visit, Educational Activities, Youth Participation, Etc… The list goes on and on.Anyone interested in filling one of these positions please let me know.

As a side note, if you are new to Amateur Radio, this is an awesome learning experience. If you are interested in rig control, contesting, antenna construction, alternative power, etc… this is the event for you. Serving as a Rig Captain is a great way experience the full capability of our stations.

If you are wanting to fill this position, but worried about your knowledge, let me know and I will pair you up with an experienced operator. If you have any questions, comments or want to volunteer to help, feel free to contact me directly at w4juu@carc.cc

73, God Bless and Good DX!
